JILL C. KENNEY, ND
As a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Kenney strives to be a compassionate, empathetic, and encouraging partner in her patients’ pursuit of health and wellness. In 2004, Dr. Kenney received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon, the oldest accredited naturopathic medical school in the country. Dr. Kenney practiced at Sakura Natural Health in Houston, Texas and FirstHealth of Andover, a large multi-disciplinary group, in Andover, Massachusetts prior to opening a practice in Connecticut.
Dr. Kenney’s philosophy of care is rooted in the core principles of naturopathic medicine. She aims to utilize the healing power of nature to address the underlying causes of illness. She strives both to treat the whole person and to teach her patients about their illness and health. Like all well-trained naturopaths, she also hopes to prevent disease by helping patients achieve a fundamentally healthy lifestyle through nutrition, exercise, and a balanced work, personal and spiritual life. Dr. Kenney has experience working with a number of ailments including cancer support, allergies, digestive concerns, autoimmune problems, Lyme Disease, ADHD, obesity, high cholesterol, women’s health issues, and disorders that may be difficult to treat with traditional medicine. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, especially women and children, and utilizes herbs, homeopathy, nutrition and nutritional supplements to help patients find optimal health. In her spare time, Dr. Kenney spends time with her husband and two daughters, and enjoys going for a run and reading a good book.
