Betsy McCormick

Dr. Betsy McCormick is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as sub specialty board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. McCormick specializes in treating patients with infertility, PCOS, and recurrent pregnancy loss. She has experience in all aspects of ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and oocyte donation. Dr. McCormick received her undergraduate degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She then went on to earn a masters degree in physiology with an emphasis in endocrinology, and her medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio. She received her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati and was awarded the Robert Rebar Award for Excellence in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. McCormick completed her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Cincinnati. She joined The Reproductive Medicine Group in 2008.

I had a very disappointing and disheartening experience with Dr. McCormick. We came to her for support with infertility and ultimately proceeded with IVF based on her strong recommendation. She quoted us a 70% success rate, which we now realize was grossly misleading and not aligned with actual industry averages for our situation. We trusted her guidance, invested our time, money, and emotions — and the IVF cycle was unfortunately unsuccessful.

Beyond that, Dr. Mccormick showed limited understanding of the root causes of infertility, telling us that it’s “just a roll of the dice” and dismissing the role of lifestyle, nutrition, or other underlying factors. This felt careless and outdated, especially for a fertility specialist.

The problems didn’t stop there — she also seemed to have no clear knowledge of billing or insurance, and we were misled on the cost of treatment. We were later surprised with unexpected charges and found it nearly impossible to get a clear answer from her or her office.

Fertility treatment is already emotionally and financially stressful. Patients deserve a doctor who is honest, informed, and supportive. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Dr. McCormick
