About
The owner, Kathleen Voris, is a former US Army Nurse. Her last duty assignment was at Silas B. Hayes Army Hospital at the former Fort Ord near Monterey, Ca. In 1985 she purchased her home in Carmel Valley. She received her Care Home license in March of 1986, resigned her Army commission in July and received her first residents in October of that year. In 2011 she celebrates 25 years of living her dream: 1. Making a difference in the lives of those she cares for and their families 2. Promoting positive changes in our social and cultural views of elder care 3. Doing it all with passion, commitment, and consistency, at a standard that far exceeds the requirements of her license.
Located only three miles from Highway 1 (near Quail Lodge Golf Course), Carmel Villa is situated in a sunny and quiet residential neighborhood, nestled in the wooded hills of Carmel Valley.
Both Kathleen and her husband, John, also live at Carmel Villa. The additional 24-hour staff at Carmel Villa has over 70 years combined experience in elder care.
