For over 15 years, I have worked with individuals in a practical and compassionate manner to support and empower them and to foster change. Using a humanistic approach, I utilize cognitive behavioral, dialectical, and psychodynamic therapies. I work primarily with adults and adolescents age 13 and older. I have approximately 10 years working with a forensic population and related issues.
Her approach is personalized to the individual. I believe my first 2 sessions she was trying to get a read on me to determine what approach to take and she chose the correct one. She waited,didn't push conversation and let me come to her which I thought to be very respectful towards me and to the bond that needs to occur in Therapy.She is a great listener and retains what you say. I felt totally understood and sometimes that's all one needs. Doc is very personable and makes you feel at ease. Down to earth but her confidant manner clearly speaks from experience and you feel like you are in the hands of someone who will help. She has a genuine concern for your overall health ,well -being and happiness.
