A neighborhood cat was who was surrendered to me when his owners could no longer care for him after a UTI and possible blockage MY CAT ) was stolen , put up for adoption without my consent or knowledge . This is after the owner surrender paid 700.00 for his care .Apparently arrangements were being made the night of his surgery without my consent . Even though I was the one who rushed Oliver as soon as I told them the owners were on the way they would not discuss Oliver with me . Some short snotty vet tech said his information was private ! But WAH had no problem discussing Oliver’s future with many people that Sunday evening , I have no idea how many were involved . By Monday they were saying he was being transferred to Care for Animals in the morning , what ???! Under who’s authorization ?? Not mine the owner . The night we were to pick Oliver up at the hospital , the staff , nor the vet would bring Oliver out to leave . I had a bad feeling .. something was off including the vet who I had previous contact with her name is Brandi Barnes . After over an hour of trying to get to the bottom of this and have Oliver brought out to me I finally signed surrender papers to Brandi Barnes who stated Oliver was still blocked and on medication , that he would need ongoing care because of her fear he was still blocked or would be blocked again . When I asked to say goodby to a cat I loved dearly it seemed like I was bothering them somehow . I had been caring for Oliver at least four years and had begged the owner surrender him to me and it finally happened . When we saw Oliver , he was so happy to see us . It was relief he was doing so well . What didn’t make sense in this big mess was that he had his IV removed , catheter out all while Brandi Barnes was saying he was still blocked . That made no sense and she was lying right to our faces . When I asked when all this came about , her adopting Oliver , “ she stated just a short while ago . Then in the next breath said she was not adopting Oliver , her Sister might be or she would find a home for Oliver . Well Oliver was not up for adoption !! I had placement for him , I would keep Oliver of course , I loved him and had a long history with him . But due to the fact I was caring for leukemia kittens at the time he would stay with an older couple for now that also loved Oliver .When Oliver had a UTI about two years ago Will and Jan Barrow provided me with prescription food for Oliver weekly . We never ran out , this they did to help Oliver . Long story to write here , but after I finally wrote the surrender to who I thought would be Dr Barnes , turns out a receptionist grabbed the paper and said I will be taking Oliver . My jaw hit the floor over the deceit and lies told us by WAH . So not only did the bill get paid by the previous owner ,700 they also billed me for his last day at the hospital for meds .120 . How despicable to take the money from either of us ! Also when the previous owner disputed the bill , they were informed to go after your neighbor meaning myself & my husband .. The five star reviews are the same ones repeated over and over I would give a minus zero . This all happened September 3 ,4th and 5 th . I’ve never seen Oliver again , or have no idea what happened to him . I feel Oliver will be shuffled around or when he acts up God only knows . When I asked if I can see him again Cindy the receptionist who said maybe if I like their FB page he will be on it . My belief is he will be used as a blood donor cat , he is a big beautiful boy . This place is despicable and shady and just reliving what they did to us is heartbreaking . I will always miss my big boy Olly .
