All our Hatha Yoga classes are 75 minutes long. We encourage slow, meditative practice emphasizing breath and awareness, while creating physical and emotional balance, as well as strength and flexibility. In these Hatha Yoga classes we include Vinyasa (Flow), Asanas (Posture), and relaxation while using our rich postures and series vocabulary to fit the practice to the practitioners and not the practitioners to the practice. We dare to slow and also to stimulate our body so every practitioner is able to find their own individual limits and work from there. The aim of Hatha Yoga practice is the state of Meditation or as stated in one of the Yoga scriptures Hatha Yoga Pradipika by Swāmi Svātmārāma 1/1: “The goal of Hatha yoga is Raja yoga (the yoga of the mind)” On this path to meditation (Raja yoga) the side effects will be strength, flexibility and in general a healthy body, you will experience a much more relaxed mental state after the classes and would have a better capability to deal life's challenges.
