Michael Pieracci, Psychologist

I work part-time mostly on Saturdays because of my full-time faculty position at WSU-TC. I specialize in individual treatment (and sometimes marital dyads) concerning a variety of life issues: divorce, relationships, depression, grief, self-esteem, etc. I do not work with people with addiction issues. My approach is largely psychodynamic, relying for the most part of the work of Jung, Freud, Hillman, Rollo May, and Jim Bugental. My marital approach is largely symbolic interactionist. All that theory aside, overall, I try to take a practical approach to helping people become more comfortable with themselves in a world that is often pressuring and hostile. I believe in therapy as "the talking cure." I don't rely on technique-based approaches.
