Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." Viktor E. Frankl

EMDR treatment for trauma recovery:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. Trauma can be described as any event that has occurred in the life of an individual that leads them to responding in a consistently dysfunctional way. Relationships, work, self-esteem, finances are all things that are impacted by the replaying of these patterns. Broadly understood, trauma can be something as big as an assault or as seemingly insignificant as a childhood embarrassment. Under the guidance of a trained EMDR therapist, healing is achieved as material becomes "unstuck" and new ways of thinking and acting lead to freedom and authenticity. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.
EMDR can offer relief from the following issues:
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Anxiety disorders Depressive disorders Fears and phobias Assault (sexual or physical) Childhood truama Test anxiety or performance anxiety Witnessing violence Loss or injury of a loved one Surviving an accident Low self-esteem and issues of confidence
