About
Kris Gonzalez is a Chinese Medicine practitioner who practices acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping, food therapy and tui na massage. She also has sub-specialty training is pain management and the therapeutic application of Certified Pure Essential Oils.
Kris received her Masters in Science and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, located in San Diego, Ca. She had the opportunity to intern at several off campus clinics such as the UCSD Senior's Clinic Downtown and Rady Children's Hospital. Kris also received extensive education in Western Medicine at PCOM-SD.
Kris has successfully treated a wide variety of conditions from orthopedics, hormonal imbalances, gastrointestinal disorders, headaches and migraines, peripheral neuropathy, arthritis, weight management, vertigo, dizziness, insomnia, anxiety, depression and much more.
History
Upon graduation, Kris Gonzalez had an opportunity to work side by side with a chiropractor. Using an integrative model, Kris successfully treated patients with a wide range of orthopedic conditions. Soon she began to see patients for other health concerns and her practice grew.
Kris also had the opportunity to work for a community acupuncture clinic where high quality and much needed acupuncture treatments were provided at a low cost. Treatments were performed in a calm and healing community room. Because of the low cost, patients were able to come in several times a week and experience great improvements in their conditions quicker.
Kris established her own practice at the end of 2013. She currently practices out of the Acuheart clinic in Del Mar, Ca where she works side by side by her mentor Patricia Blake L.Ac. who has been practicing for 26 years.

Kris utilizes her knowledge of Oriental Medicine and Western Medicine to use an integrated approach to patient care. With a knowledgeable, caring and empathetic approach, she encourages her patients towards empowerment in regards to their health.
Kristin has always been influenced by traditional medicine since growing up and visiting her family in South Korea. She recalls memories of her grandmother easing her stomach pains with hand acupressure. This tradition has imprinted itself in the way Kristin approaches her treatments. She strongly believes in the healing nature of the patient/practitioner relationship.
