Orthotics are lightweight, flexible devices that help to correct an irregular or abnormal walking pattern caused by the inability of the foot to bear weight properly. When your foot is having this issue it can lead to bone, tendon and soft tissue problems, as well as bunions and hammertoes. Custom fit orthotics come in many shapes, sizes and materials but fall into three main categories: rigid orthotics, semi rigid orthotics and soft orthotics.
