Dr. Markantone specializes in foot and ankle surgery, including the treatment of traumatic injuries and reconstruction of the foot and ankle. He is a leading authority in the treatment of diabetes and sports medicine as they relate to the feet. Dr. Markantone has a vast knowledge of foot and ankle function and can treat all your foot and ankle issues both conservatively and surgically. Dr. Markantone earned his podiatry degree at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his podiatric surgical residency at Saint Francis Central Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Markantone is certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Markantone has medical privileges at Forbes Hospital and the Highmark Surgery Center (Monroeville).
