I am the doctor the previous same person posted about twice. I have no idea who they are. I wish they would have felt welcome enough to discuss their frustrations with me. I like to think that I treat patients with kindness and respect. I feel terrible that this patient had a complication of foot surgery. A fusion that doesn't take is a complication of surgery and in dealt with by revisional surgery. I never stop seeing any patient of mine for any reason unless they treated myself or my staff with disrespect. Every surgeon has surgeries that don't go as planned. I do my upmost to encourage second opinions for these patients if they feel it will help them make an educated decision going forward.
By the way, I was a CORE institute surgeon before going into private practice if that means anything. We all do the same residencies regardless of where we chose to practice. I am double board certified and fellowship trained. That doesn't make me the best doctor in the world but gives me all the tools in my belt to help the most people possible.
I feel really bad that this patient felt the only way they could discuss their frustration was to do it anonymously online without any context or ability for me to help resolve their concerns. I am glad they found the care they needed to get better.
This person (cannot bring myself to call him Dr) caused me so much unnecessary pain by completely botching foot surgery and using the wrong technique by using metal staples to join the bones in my foot. About 6 weeks after surgery and ordering an xray, he called me at home and said he couldn't see me anymore. I was in severe pain. Office didn't want to give me my medical records to take to CORE, had to make 2 trips due to incomplete records and made me go to hospital to obtain surgery report. The excellent surgeon at CORE had to undue his mess and the staples were broken, which leads me to believe that was the reason he would no longer see me. CORE has the best orthopedic surgeons.
