Anika Moore, MD

Dr Anika Moore was inspired to become an obstetrician by her mother's physician. While in high school, she shadowed him as part of a career program. One day, she watched him deliver a baby and knew right away that was the path she wanted to follow. Growing up, her grandmother told her, The most important thing you can do is have a heart full of love, a listening ear and a hand willing to help others. When she decided to go into medicine, as an African-American woman, she promised never to forget her grandmother's wisdom and to do everything she can to ensure her patients are treated well - to listen, partner and connect with women to help take care of their health needs.
