Nina Elshiekh Crego, LMBT #1474 is a 13 year veteran of the massage and bodywork field. She trained at Medical Arts Massage School in Raleigh, NC. Her primary focus is on orthopedic massage and sports massage applications. She has worked in conjunction with numerous MD’s, physical therapists, chiropractors and alternative medicine practitioners. As a former competitive gymnast and swimmer, Nina has extensive knowledge of the stresses created on the body during sports training and competition.
In 2004, Nina was selected, from a field of 700 applicants, to the team of therapists who served the athletes of the Olympics and Paralympics in Athens, Greece. She has worked with a number of athletes, including amateur, collegiate and professional runners, golfers, swimmers, gymnasts, bodybuilders and volleyball players. She uses a variety of techniques to assist her clients to improve performance, reduce pain, and help the body heal from injury.
Formerly an American College of Sports Medicine-certified personal trainer, Nina is certified to instruct in the k-Fit method of kettlebell training, Z-Health (R Phase) technique and Mattes Method (Active Isolated Stretching). These techniques are beneficial for improving posture, reducing pain and enhancing performance and function. Nina is also a certified sports nutritionist and assists clients in gaining or losing weight and increasing muscle mass through nutritional reprogramming and nutrient optimization.
