At Fluid Chiropractic we work with the entire body and person as a whole. There’s more to the spine than bones. The spinal column is the communication hub between the brain and the nerves throughout your body.
Your body is an integrated system. Your brain’s job is to work with your spinal cord to talk and listen to your entire body through the peripheral nervous system so that everything works together. It’s an integrated system. Everything depends on everything else.
Fluid Chiropractic combines professional and reliable help with excellent customer service in order to build long lasting customer relationships. Located in Cherry Creek, we offer service to the Greater Denver Metro Area (Denver, Cherry Creek, Lowry, Denver Tech Center, Centennial, Littleton, Stapleton, Westminster, Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada).

Wellness:
Our definition of health is fluidity, flexibility, adaptability and the ability of your Nervous System to coordinate all other systems (Musculo-Skeletal, Circulatory, Lymphatic, Spinal Fluid, Respiratory, and Digestive) and resources for healing. All of these systems are interconnected and need to be working properly for you as a whole to work!
That you feel well, inside and out, is our goal. Wellness is not a physical or emotional condition, but how you feel – in your body, in your situation, in your relationships, in your heart, in your head. It is your sense of your self and what you believe about what it means to be healthy.
Somatic (Body) Awareness:
Athletes, musicians, and yoga practitioners devote themselves to developing a keen awareness of what is going on in their bodies, of how their bodies react to stress and trauma, of what works and doesn’t work, of what strengthens them and what weakens them. They know that the body and mind work together as a team.
The more mentally tuned-in you are to your physical feelings and senses, the greater your capacity to tap into your body’s healing resources. One of the aims of our techniques is to strengthen your ability to pay attention.
Spinal And Neural Integrity:
Whenever there’s a change in your environment, your nerves send signals to your spinal cord, and your spinal cord coordinates the appropriate response with the rest of the body. Three subsystems all need to work in harmony:
Passive subsystem – Vertebrae, ligaments, and spinal discs
Active subsystem – Spinal muscles and tendon
Neural control subsystem – Spinal cord, nerve roots, and peripheral nerves
Our process and techniques used are to strengthen the ability of the nerves and the spinal cord to develop clearer and more rapid communications with each other, so the body can respond and adapt to it changing environment.
The Gut-Brain Connection:
Also known as the 'emotional brain', the limbic system is located in your forebrain and is important in the formation of memories and in controlling emotions, decisions, motivation and learning. It includes the amygdala hippocampus, the most primitive part of the brain, where the body’s “fight or flight” reaction originates.
Whenever you make an “intuitive decision” or have a “gut reaction,” that’s your limbic system at work. When depression, anxiety, annoyance, or emergencies stress upset your stomach, that’s a signal of a breakdown in gut–brain crosstalk.
One of the aims of our practice is to strengthen your awareness of your emotions and their impact on your body. The more tuned-in you are to your emotional responses, the greater your capacity to tap into your body’s healing resources.

N.S.A.:
After fourteen years of education and experience, Fluid Chiropractic has come to rely on Network Spinal Analysis as the chiropractic technique that produces strong, lasting results.
Network Spinal Analysis (NSA), sometimes referred to as “Network Chiropractic” or “networking,” is a chiropractic technique that regards your body as a whole, integrated system, not just bones. It taps into the body’s own potential to heal itself.
NSA employs a gentle touch to the skin along specific areas where the protective covering of the spinal cord connects to the spine. Each touch works to clear up interference throughout your nervous system. With the pathways clearer, your body and brain can communicate more effectively with each other which promotes healing.
Network Spinal Analysis is an evidenced based approach to wellness and body awareness.
Gentle precise touch to the spine cues the brain to create new wellness promoting strategies. Two unique healing waves develop with this work. They are associated with spontaneous release of spinal and life tensions, and the use of existing tension as fuel for spinal re-organization and enhanced wellness.
Somato-Respiratory Integration:
SRI is when you start learning how to connect with and work on yourself. It involves light touch, breath, energy, movement, focused attention and statements. It really is the home care which empowers you to learn to self-regulate, self-organize and be in charge of your own healing.

SOT:
Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) was originally formulated by Major Bertrand DeJarnette (The Major) who was an Engineer who became a Doctor of Osteopathy and then a Doctor of Chiropactic in the 1920’s. He developed color-processing and sold it to Kodak to pay for his Chiropractic research on the human body, which we now call SOT. The Major was inspired to go beyond simple spinal adjusting and developed methods of correcting the Cranium, Pelvis, Extremities and Organs. This study brought about a system of adjusting patterns in the body, not just single body parts. The most significant pattern was the relationship between the sacrum and occiput (which became the name of the technique).
An important distinction of SOT is the use of indicators. Each adjustment has a sign or signal that the we use to know when and where to adjust. For example, muscle tension at the knee may indicate the pelvis needs correction, and connective tissue fibers at the base of the skull (called occipital fibers) indicate different vertebra in the back or spine may be in need of an adjustment. This also tells us on the next visit if the correction has been completely or marginally effective. From these indicators, we design a different adjustment set on each visit, listening to the body each time. It takes study to master this method of care, but it is an effective, precise adjustment without relying exclusively on x-rays
One of DeJarnette’s great discoveries was a category system that recognizes that human structures have specific patterns of imbalance. By generalizing patients into three categories DeJarnette developed methods of determining three identifiable, yet interrelated, systems of body reaction. Through the use of specific indicators, location and correction of these body patterns a system of before and after treatment tests can be applied to evaluate need for care and whether the care was successful.
