I went to Theodros Shawl for an adjustment, his office was very dirty and un-sanitary, there was thick dust covering everything and the traction bed was not covered with disposable tissue or sheet.
The office does not accept cards and I had to pay cash for my copay. He collected the money but did not give me a proper adjustment. When I complained, he said that I don’t have a good insurance and he does not get paid enough to adjust me!? Actually, my Blue Cross insurance does pay pretty well and whatever they don’t pay will be my responsibility to cover.
I suggested, he should either not accept my insurance or raise his fee but give me a proper adjustment when I go to his office.
He mismanaged his time and brought a lame excuse for not doing what I paid for. He lacks work ethics and I will never go to his office again.

Here is the full story:
I had terrible pain in my neck, upper and lower back and that was the reason I went to Theodros Shawl for an adjustment.
He spoke for half an hour, while I was sitting on a chair in his office, and told me stories about his trips which were pleasant but I did not know that these stories were costing me good money! While he was talking, his receptionist came to the room and warned him about his next patient waiting so Dr. Shawl quickly adjusted my neck and hurried me out of the room. He did not adjust my upper or lower back at all and left me in pain.
He cannot manage his time. I did not pay his fee, used gas and wasted my time to go to his office to listen to stories and not get adjusted.
When I complained, his explanation was that my insurance does not pay him enough to work on my back! I could not believe it. He takes my money and insurance’s money but does not give me proper adjustment and his excuse is that the insurance does not pay him enough. That is immoral. I have Blue Cross insurance which is one of the best insurances. Nevertheless, he gets paid in full from insurance or me, the patient. Perhaps he wants to get paid and not deliver the service.
I suggested, he should either not accept my insurance or raise his fee but give me a proper adjustment when I go to his office.
His excuse was even worse than his lack of good service; made me very upset. I will never go to his office again. The only good thing about his practice is his pleasant receptionist.
