My intention for treatment is to provide my client with the tools to facilitate self-healing using mind-body practices in conjunction with traditional clinical therapy. I bring my practice of Mindfulness and Yoga to the therapeutic relationship as a complement to my training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Attachment, and Solution-Focused Therapies. I specialize in helping adolescents and young adults, as well as families, and have extensive experience working with adolescent females. I also have experience working with victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking. I generally provide either brief, solution-focused interventions, or ongoing treatment for significant mental health struggles such as depression, anxiety, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal ideation, interpersonal and family conflict, self-esteem issues, substance abuse, mood disorders, thought disorders, and trauma. My goal is to facilitate the integration of emotional growth and therapeutic insight. I truly believe that when the individual is able to attune to his/her authentic self, the result is a powerful and life changing experience. Once self-defeating patterns of behaviors are recognized, a powerful shift in consciousness can occur.
