Dr. Metros is able to treat and manage musculoskeletal problems using surgery alone or in combination with other therapies, including medication, exercise, rehabilitative therapy, and prevention. He is one of the few orthopedic surgeons in North San Diego County who specializes in minimally invasive anterior approach hip replacements using the Hana® table. Additional services include:
• Patellofemoral (partial knee) resurfacing
• Total shoulder replacement
• Unicompartmental knee replacement
• Wrist and hand procedures including carpal tunnel release
• Small joint procedures
Dr. Metros is affiliated with Palomar Medical Center (Escondido), Pomerado Hospital (Poway), Escondido Surgery Center, and Rancho Bernardo Surgery Center. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the California State Medical Society, and the San Diego County Medical Society. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Kevin Lee Metros is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (Newark) in 1981. He served his Surgery internship at the National Naval Academy Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland in 1982, and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego in 1987.Dr. Metros is able to treat and manage musculoskeletal problems using surgery alone or in combination with other therapies, including medication, exercise, rehabilitative therapy, and prevention.
