DASHA® takes a holistic approach to wellness using conventional, alternative and non-invasive therapies to help promote longevity, personal strength and lead a healthier life.
Dr. Pollack and the dedicated staff at DASHA Wellness have helped give me my life back. There is no hyperbole in that statement. While words cannot fully express my gratitude to this extraordinary group of individuals, I find it necessary to let this city, and the world, know in some detail what my journey with DASHA has been like, from the broken condition I was in when I first entered their office to the dramatically reconstructed person that they have created. Since my first visit, Dr. Pollack and his entire team have rebuilt me to the point where I am darn close to the person I was before my health spiraled out of control four years ago. They have showed me critically important stretches that I needed to do, literally putting their hands on me and showing me the correct form and how long to hold it. I was taught postural and core exercises that would strengthen my hips and back and help lift my chest off of my ribs. They taught me how to properly activate my glutes, to help stabilize my core and take pressure off of all the havoc that having weak glutes was creating upstream. All of this came with a vast array of modifications, since I could not do many of the standard exercises. It was very much trial and error for a little while, trying different exercises and positions and reporting back on how I felt from them. I am by no means a straightforward case, as the beginning of this writing makes clear. Before going to DASHA, I would watch endless rehab videos on the Internet and try to practice exercises and stretches that were either ineffective or more painful. In cases like mine, one really needs the right professionals to closely monitor what is going on individually, and DASHA is uniquely suited to do just that. Dr. Pollack and his team work together as a true unit, in close quarters with each other, consistently collaborating while discussing their observations about clients that many of them share. Each comes from their own discipline with different clinical experience. Yet they all feel for those in pain and want to help. I am not much of a spiritual person, yet it is hard not to be moved in such a way when I reflect on what Dr. Pollack and his team have done for me. I believe that goodness on this Earth comes from good deeds brought forth by good people. In this sense DASHA has been my temple of healing and education. I tell this story about an incredible group of people who have helped me rise from the depths of despair, so those out there who suffer in such ways know a place exists that can help, as they have for me. And they won’t give up.
