There is an air of indifference to this place. I should have known when I walked into the office twice to make my first appointment and even though they were open, there was no one in sight. I waited for at least 5 minutes each time, looked around for someone, but never found anyone. When it was time to actually have my first appointment, it took 40 minutes to get through the paperwork. At one point, a lady was calling my insurance company and talking about my information loud enough for the whole office to hear. The physical therapist asked me questions but they didn't really connect with my reason for being there and weren't specific to what my pain/issue was and what i wanted to get out of physical therapy. she never had me point to where it hurt or looked at the area or anything. Needless to say we didn't get any exercises done the first day. I've been to physical therapy before so the difference was striking. Nothing was every explained to me. I was treated as though I should know what to do on my own. Every visit started with 20 minutes of heat, then 20 minutes of STEM, then 5 minutes of ultrasound. After that she would tell me to do 2 exercises. No one showed me the exercises. No one ever came to make sure I was doing them right. After that I'd ask what else I should do, and be told I was done. In my previous experience with PT, I'd spend most of my hour exercising (with instruction and oversight). Here I'm there over an hour and spend very little time exercising. And then I can't even make a new appointment before I leave because the office staff is nowhere to be found.
