I began physical therapy with Dr. Patricia Cote at St. Joseph’s Hospital PT in Merrimack, NH sometime in November of 2017 because of returning shoulder pain after a previous injury. This was my second time doing physical therapy to help with the discomfort. Although my mobility did in fact improve, it was soon apparent that the pain would not “go away” without rotator cup surgery. I had tons of questions about the surgery before I made a decision, and Patti was so knowledgeable and informative WITHOUT attempting to sway me for or against the surgery. She knew, better than anyone, my struggle with such a decision. Recuperation takes about a year, and that’s a pretty big decision to make. I very much appreciated her input. So, the surgery was done. (by the awesome Dr. Simon, who I previously reviewed). A few weeks after that, Patti (and I), began the lengthy and often frustrating process of “getting better.” I cannot say too many positive things about Patti’s guidance and dedication. Throughout this process (I am not done), she has been the consummate professional, alternating instruction and innovative guidance with a big dose of kindness, or pep talks, depending on my needs at the time. I always feel like I have her undivided attention and concern while I work out. I so appreciate her quiet, calm attitude. Throughout the roadblocks and plateaus I have encountered, Patti has always found different approaches to help me move forward and encourage me to persevere. She is a wonderfully compassionate and gifted physical therapist, and I think you would be fortunate to work with her.
We will be forever grateful for Patti and Nick who consistently and patiently helped our patient through the LSVT /BIG program. You are sterling members of the medical community.
