Vision Therapy: Some visual problems cannot be corrected with contact lenses or glasses; vision therapy provides the opportunity to learn to use the two eyes in a more efficient manner. When two eyes coordinate well, more visual information can be received and comprehended. Students, who easily coordinate their eyes read faster, understand more of what they read and retain longer. Drivers who use their eyes well together see more efficiently and tire less. VDT operators who are experiencing eye strain, headaches and other related visual symptoms may be helped with vision therapy, improving visual information processing benefits every area of an individual's life: school, home, play, work, and social relationships.
Vision therapy is particularly effective in treating:
•visually related learning disabilities •strabismus (crossed or "wall" eyes) •amblyopia (lazy eye)
