Treating patients in a community setting has many benefits: It’s easy for friends and family members to come in for treatment together; many patients find it comforting; and a collective energetic field becomes established which makes individual treatments more powerful. The style of acupuncture we practice at NAP allows patients to rest/sleep for up 45 minutes or more, as space permits. Patients choose when they are ready to have their treatment end.

Most acupuncturists in the US treat patients in private rooms on massage tables. This is not traditional in Asia, where acupuncture usually occurs in a community setting.
