Patrick T. Miles, DC grew up in Hudson Falls, New York and graduated from Le Moyne College in 2005. Dr. Miles received his Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2009 and has spent the last few years practicing in Springfield, Massachusetts but has always wanted to move back to upstate New York.

Believing that home therapy goes hand in hand with in office treatments, Dr. Miles encourages home rehabilitative stretches and stabilization exercises as well as Kinesiology tape to help the patient recover as quickly as possible. Education
I graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 2001, then continuing on to study at Le Moyne College in Syracuse where I received my Bachelor's in Multiple Sciences with a concentration in Biology and a minor in philosophy in 2005. I then started at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY, graduating in July of 2009 with my Doctorate of Chiropractic. While at NYCC I did rotations at the on campus clinic, the VA clinics in Rochester and Canandaigua, NY, as well as a free clinic run by the Sisters of St. Joseph and a long term care clinic, both in Rochester, NY. Since graduating I have continued my education, studying several different procedures used in patient treatment, including the Graston technique and Kenesio taping.
After I finished at NYCC I started at Valley Chiropractic and Rehabilitation in Holyoke, Massachusetts as an associated chiropractor at a busy office working with a range of patients from personal injury to the elderly to athletes. We were a full service office having Chiropractics, Physical Therapy and massage therapy all in one central location. In 2011 Valley opened a second office in Springfield, Massachusetts and I would split my week between the two offices. I enjoyed my time there and learned a lot, but I am glad to be back in upstate.
I started Accurate Chiropractic in October of 2012. As of the start of 2013 I am six days a week here in Saratoga. I am very happy to be closer to friends and family, and better able to help the people I treat.

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.
Doctors of Chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.
The most common therapeutic procedure performed by chiropractors is known as “spinal manipulation,” also called “chiropractic adjustment.” The purpose of manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become restricted in their movement. These restrictions can cause tissue injury and be caused by a single traumatic event, such as improper lifting of a heavy object, or through repetitive stresses, such as sitting in an awkward position with poor posture for an extended period of time. In either case, injured tissues undergo physical and chemical changes that can cause inflammation, pain, and diminished function for the sufferer. An adjustment of the affected joint and tissues restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal.
Graston Technique® provides clinicians worldwide with an improved diagnostic and treatment technique for many challenging joint and soft tissue conditions. Used by physical and occupational therapists, hand therapists, chiropractors and athletic trainers, stainless steel instruments slid over the skin and “catch” on tight tissue, which immediately identifies areas of restriction. The instruments enable clinicians to treat soft tissue injuries in a precise manner and with greater specificity. Once the tissue dysfunction has been identified, the instruments break up the scar tissue so it can be absorbed by the body. By incorporating stretching, strengthening and ice in the treatment and rehab process, clinicians can rebuild the soft tissue injury into healthy functioning tissue. See www.GrastonTechnique.com
Activator Manipulation is a low force technique that uses a small, spring loaded tool to assist in the movement of joints. It requires very little twisting or turning on the part of the patient and can be done to the tolerance of the patient. It is a great alternative for patients who have low bone density or are uneasy about traditional manipulation. See www.activator.com for more information.
Kinesiology taping is a rehabilitative technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process, while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion, as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. Tape is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric, and successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological, and other medical conditions. See www.kinesiotaping.com for more information
Spinal decompression using Flexion/Distraction coming soon. Flexion/Distraction is a gentle, controlled and safe treatment for spinal pain relief. Flexion/Distraction uses an adjustable table to place a traction to the patient’s vertebral joints, reduce the pressure on the disc and widens the spinal canal area by as much as 28%. As a bonus, Flexion/Distraction helps return motion to the spinal joints and elasticity to the associated soft tissues. Great for disc herniations and "Pinched Nerve" syndromes. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable. All of my questions were answered during my appointment, which really put my mind at ease. They were so skilled and knowledgeable, and even customized their adjustments to meet my specific condition. Dr. Miles is the only certified practitioner in the area that utilizes the Graston Technique and supplements it with Kineseo Taping as well! They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. He has great bed-side manner and truly made me feel relaxed. I will continue visiting Dr. Miles at Accurate Chiropractic for all of my skeletal and muscular concerns.
