We all have beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world around us. For example, "I'm not good enough," "I'm not safe," or "I don't deserve good things." We are usually unaware of these beliefs, yet they powerfully impact our lives in a negative way. In our work together, we would gently uncover these beliefs, explore their origins and develop skills to change these outdated, unhealthy tapes. The goal is to replace our inner critic with a more compassionate and positive voice. This increases self-esteem and allows for more peace and joy in our lives.
Based on your interests and comfort level, I intuitively tailor our work together. My practice is informed by both traditional therapeutic philosophies (psychodynamic and family systems theory) as well as more alternative ideas and techniques (mindfulness, spirituality, EMDR, EFT, DBT, and cognitive behavioral therapy).
