Dr. Ingram, originally from Summerville, S.C., graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a degree in Biology. After his undergraduate work, Dr. Ingram attended Nova Southeastern University�s College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he obtained his doctorate in optometry. While in optometry school, he earned clinical honors in the areas of Primary Care and Contact Lenses as an intern. While performing his externship at the VA Hospital in Salisbury, N.C., Dr. Ingram gained extensive knowledge in the treatment and management of ocular disease secondary to systemic diseases and earned clinical honors in this field as well. After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Ingram returned to Columbia and saw a need for a private practice in the city of Forest Acres where he eventually opened Ingram Comprehensive Eye Care, P.A.. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Ingram sees patients at the Dorn VA Hospital in Columbia, SC.
Dr. Ingram is a member in good standing of the American Optometric Association (AOA), AOA-Cornea and Contact Lens section and the South Carolina Optometric Physician Association. He has held the office of Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the Midlands Optometric Society and has served as a director on the South Carolina Optometric Physician Association's Board of Directors.
Dr. Ingram currently lives in Forest Acres with his wife Laura and children Hughes, Joshua and Evelyn. He and his family are active members of First Presbyterian Church
