As a cum laude graduate, Dr. Mapes furthered his dental expertise and honed his skills in a post-graduate residency program at Palmetto Health in Columbia, South Carolina. Here, he received advanced training in placement of dental implants, root canal surgery, extractions, IV sedation, and prosthodontics. In the first four years Dr. Mapes spent in NYC, he associated alongside New York City's top dentists. In 2011, he opened his own brand-new practice in Brooklyn called Williamsburg Smile Design.
