I'm such a skeptic when it comes to doctors and I've never had an outstanding experience to the point where I felt I wanted to write a review until now. Dr. Black is honestly the absolute best doctor I've ever been to. I actually went to her as a second opinion because my first visit to another orthodontist in Lynchburg was such an annoying experience and a waste of time. She spent 2 hours with me on my first visit, and legitimately cared about my case. Usually at the doctor you feel rushed and like they're just ready to get you out of there and on to the next one, well not with her. She was so sweet, funny and friendly. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and knowledgeable about my treatment. After taking x-rays, she spent so much time explaining to me the way my teeth were, why they were like that, and specifically what our plan was to move them during treatment. She thoroughly explained all of my options, and even Plan B's, C's and D's for if things didn't go correctly. She pulled up a chair beside me and asked questions, answered questions, showed me pictures/information on her computer and even explained all of my payment options. She did everything herself rather than having her assistant/tech/nurse do everything for her. I loved her so much and HIGHLY recommend her to anyone seeking orthodontic treatment. Not only does she know her stuff, but she is compassionate about her work and seriously cares about her patients and their needs - unlike most doctors. Not to mention I was always able to get an appointment right away!

They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Dr. Black is friendly, welcoming, warm and professional.
