The best way to understand Atlas Orthogonal (A.O.) is to first define the terminology. The Atlas is the first vertebra supporting the skull. Orthogonal is an adjective pronounced (or-thog-o-nal) having to do with or involving right angles. Orthogonality is a noun, the quality or state of being orthogonal. Therefore, one can understand that the A.O.
