About

Dan Twilley, D.C.

I "doctor" areas of the musculo-skeletal system that are "injured", in some way. I like to say that we will learn to successfully manage or cure your problems thru conservative measures involving complete accurate diagnosis, artful manipulation, aggressive ergonomic management, all combined with the direct manuel treatment of all muscular involvement (things like chronic spasms, injured tissue, and trigger points) and any other factor that has a role in your total symptom picture........

I basically manage osteoarthritis and myofascial pain syndrome.....i started treating a little known condition called fibromyalgia in 1982.....i do not use a massage therapist i do the muscular work myself.....

I will treat children 10 and younger for free if another member of the family is a patient.....kids are fun and, if what i do is needed, they are very easy to work with successfully...

I am a massive supporter of regular consistent exercise. I have a strong understanding of the physiology of running from personal experience....i have also been swimming 4 to 6 times a week for 14 years. Advice about exercise and the rehabilitation of injuries sustained during exercise is something i like to think i do well....

I will go and run with people starting a running program to ensure they learn proper warmup and workout techniques...i also seem to be gifted at teaching people to swim, i realize that is random; but i can typically have someone swimming very quickly....

on that note i would end this first nite's posting with this.......if you are aware over and over, for whatever reason, of some area of your musculoskeletal system..i would urge you to seek out its cause or causes......if you feel you need help, see me.......

since i first began practice i have always marketed my skills with the same slogan....."ask your neighbors"........

Dr. Twilley is very knowledgeable. I first went to him 35 years ago. I moved to Virginia and had a hard time finding a chiropractor of his caliber. When I moved back to the Chattanooga area, I was very pleased to see that he was still practicing. I still go to him when I have back and neck problems.

Dr. Twilley is amazing! After your initial visit I love his treatment technique of "don't show me where your pain is instead let me find it". He is an extraordinarily talented physician who honestly cares about the well being of his patients. Dr. Twilley's #1 goal is to treat you in such an effective manner that over time you will no longer need his treatment plan on a regular basis. If you suffer from joint and/or muscle injuries he is the best there is.
