Physical health is primarily a reflection of God's universal law of cause and effect. A man reaps what he sows. How we care for our bodies is both a physical and spiritual issue which impacts our health and the health of our offspring. In cases where health principles have been violated the only true "cure" is for the body to restore its own protective mechanisms by removing those physical and spiritual roadblocks which hinder proper restoration and/or healing.
Effects of a poor diet and lifestyle are as simple as "being a prisoner of yourself". By following the flow of others and not making decisions for our self, we basically reap what we sow. Therefore, either by ignorance or prideful decisions, mankind has violated the practical laws of health in formatting his or her lifestyle around the advice of others with or without confirmation, creating a comfort zone in which he or she exists.
Even when sickness manifests itself or an illness disrupts daily routines, excuses to survive through these conditions are based upon what are believed to be symptoms of old age or hereditary ailments. Many suffer continually from hidden ailments, the cause of which they are unable to determine. Although they feel miserable and are subject to many symptoms such as frequent headaches, indigestion, and poor appetites, they refuse to reevaluate their lifestyles due to the grasping holds of tradition.
What is sad, is that mankind does not realize that with a simplistic engagement in proper nutrition, pure water, fresh air, sunshine, exercise and rest, we can live our allotted time without suffering.
