My endocrinologist told me to see a nephrologist because medication I was taking resulted in an abnormal lab value. I stopped the medication, went to this nephrologist, repeated the labs and was told the value was back to normal. I went 2 more times, and then he wanted me to see the nurse practitioner, but he never told me that or why. I found out when I went to check out. The NP told me that my Chronic Kidney Disease was stable!! I told her that was totally new and I didn't have chronic kidney disease. She told me I did and that's why I was seeing a nephrologist for the past 2 years. This doctor never told me that I had a life threating disease of VITAL ORGANS. He does not communicate, he puts things off, he doesn't give direct answers or advice. Just "come back when the labs come in".
