Gloria J. Ryder, Ph.D. is a licensed Individual, Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist located in Colorado Springs, CO with over 30 years of private practice. Dr. Ryder specializes in PTS treatment for military and veterans, as well as counseling for survivors of psychological trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, natural disasters, auto accidents or from being an emergency first responder. Dr. Ryder is a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
She is a recognized expert in the field of behavioral health, psychology, and substance abuse. Dr. Ryder has been appointed by Colorado Courts to conduct Parental Responsibilities Evaluations (PRE) and Child and Family Investigations (CFI) in nearly 200 cases.
Additionally, Dr. Ryder was an Adjunct Professor at National University in Irvine, CA from 1988 to 1995. She taught undergraduate and masters level courses in human behavior and psychology. Dr. Ryder was awarded Outstanding Faculty of the Year in 1989.

This doctor has a lovely. amiable personality and asks questions pertinent to the client’s psychological issues. She is open about her personal experiences and that’s helpful to patients in feeling relaxed in sharing their traumatic experiences. We are seeking help in dealing with marital issues stemming from poor communications. Dr. Ryder is extremely competent in focusing on the root causes and teaching healing methodologies to heal these problems.
