I have been in the counseling field for 35 years and have been in private practice for over 13 years. I have specialized in using choice therapy to help my patients deal with issues in their lives. I have many years’ experience in dealing with substance abuse issues and continue to focus on patients struggling with those issues. Since I have been in private practice, I have spent much time helping patients deal with out of control anxiety. This has become a particular interest of mine and I have been focusing more on anxiety patients in the last several years. Often anxiety can be a precursor to anger management issues and I have assisted numerous patients learn to deal with anger more appropriately. I also have worked extensively with patients who have depression and bi-polar issues. Over my years in private practice, I have also enjoyed working with couples and using the choice therapy approach to support them in resolving problems and strengthening their relationships.
