I thought counselors were supposed to be non-judgmental, but I could just tell that this counselor did not approve of my lifestyle, and was actually rather hostile. My degree of comfort started off OK, but quickly disintegrated. Without a doubt, they were critical of everything I was saying, and how I lived my life. After my session, I suspected that they had told others information about me that I wanted to keep confidential. I felt extremely violated. My overall experience with this provider was terrible. I was so disenchanted with psychotherapy overall! I feel like my appointment was a big mistake. I felt worse when I left. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. It wouldn't be fair for someone else to have to suffer through a session with them.
