Let my seriously ill pet in a carrier for 5 hours without treating while I was in the parking lot waiting and calling 10 times during the 5 hours. Response always was that he was doing well and was being treated and watched. Treatment actually occurred 20 minutes after closing and was cursory. He was falling over, dehydrated, and his blood sugar was so high. His skin was so tough that I brought him because I could not give him insulin or fluids myself. He had dental surgery the day before. During the phone call Dr. Osterholm said that he was fine, but had arthritis in one leg and that was why he was falling, AND that he did not require any medical attention. He fell over on his side 3 hours later and never got up. He had medical tests prior to surgery and he was fine. The Pet Clinic and Dr. Osterholm would not return my calls, would not give me details in the bill or over the phone. Finally they refunded my money but did not tell me why they failed to treat him, lied about his condition and that he did not need any further medical care. They seemed to be more concerned to leave work on time for family activities than their professional honesty or duty. This is the Dollar Store version of veterinary medicine. How do you penalize lying, fraudulent vets that without any concern about the welfare of their patients.
