Dr. Bayer and Dr. Hutcheson spend their time caring for pets of our wonderful clients, but also devoting time to work with the rescue pets of FLAG (For Love of Animals in Goochland). Dr. Bayer also works with local Petcos, caring for their in-store creatures and furry friends. We are happy to see exotics including ferrets, bearded dragons, hedgehogs, birds and chinchillas, to name a few.
Dr. Bayer has a long-established home care business, making house calls for established clients and special cases. He will also assist those seeking a peaceful at-home euthanasia to say goodbye to their cherished pets. Dr. Bayer believes great care should be given at all stages of an animal's life.

Dr. Jerry Bayer acquired the landmark Patterson Veterinary Hospital on January 2nd, 2013. Patterson Veterinary Hospital prides itself on having country doctors who practice modern medicine.
