Dr. Pat and his wife Kathy have 2 dogs: Forrest, a Weimeraner mix, and Misty, a long haired miniature Dachshund. They also share their home with a cat named Ruby, a long hair shelter rescue.

Dr. Pat purchased the clinic in 1979. He is active in the community, particularly in Rotary, the UCC church and in projects working with youth. He has 3 stepchildren and 6 step grandchildren.
