Welcome to Yana Yoga. My name is Amber LaPointe, owner and founder. In my classes I try to keep things light and fun, but challenging and focused. I work to help my students integrate the mind, body and breath in a way that leaves them feeling calm, yet strong and renewed. My teaching style is a mix of different styles, but mainly Vinyasa (for people who have no clue what that means... it simply means that I often sync the breath with movement). Most of my classes are suitable for beginner to intermediate students.

Amber is an excellent teacher. I have lower back issue and her classes were extremely helpful in my recovery and in helping advance my flexibility. If she is aware of your issue (which she was for me and another student), she will make recommendations to prevent injury. I find her style to be warm, inviting and professional. She take time to ensure everyone is cared for and still keeps the class on pace and challenging. As a beginner in "In Class" yoga I have to question the statement by "Disappointed customer" that "She is not really capable of helping a beginner" as Amber has been immensely helpful in furthering my practice both in class and when I am at home practicing alone. I would highly recommend her and do frequently recommend her to others. As to the warning about a teacher of any religion, how does one say that they are tolerant and yet seem so offended. In any Yoga class or instruction there is spirituality and a source of inspiration be it buddism, hindi, christian, etc. I found nothing "crammed" about her teaching or content. I also find a community of students that are very dedicated to the studio. That shows a teacher is doing their job and people are coming back because of the great experiences they are having.
