I help adults who have experienced severe childhood trauma (complex PTSD) begin to reclaim the life they were meant to live. I work well with dissociative clients (dissociative identity disorder). My focus is on helping clients get back to a stable, fully-functional state where the fear and anxiety is greatly reduced, and the ability to be in relationship is significantly improved. I believe we all have multiplicity, and accordingly do "parts-friendly" psychotherapy.
I first help you to move toward a secure internal attachment, which supplies a safe haven for doing the trauma resolution work (Somatic Experiencing and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy). This approach almost insures that you will not get overwhelmed or have difficulty functioning in day-to-day life as we move through your work.
