Edward Hoglund, D.C.

Dr. Edward Hoglund is a 1984 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa. He has extensive postgraduate studies including 364 hours in Chiropractic Orthopedics, and Impairment Rating and the Law based on the Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. He is also a certified expert witness.

Dr. Hoglund maintains a full-time private practice in Merritt Island, Florida, where he has practiced for over 27 years. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and Florida Chiropractic Association.

Patients at our office initially receive a thorough evaluation to make a specific diagnosis before making an individualized treatment program to reduce pain, relieve spasm and realign the delicate structures of your spine. With proper spinal alignment, joint mobility and function can be restored. Conservative (non-surgical) treatment of disorders of the neck and back, including soft tissue sprains and strains, nonsurgical inter-vertebral disc injuries (disc herniation or slipped disc) and nerve root injuries, osteoarthritis of the spine, whiplash associated disorders, fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndromes, neck related headache and some types of migraine. In addition, arm and/or leg pain (sciatica) and numbness.

Specific conservative treatments include spinal manipulation, cervical intermittent motorized traction, and lumbar decompression traction. Physiotherapy modalities including electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, cold and ice compresses. We have a massage therapist at our office specializing in medical massage.

Dr. Hoglund is also certified to provide DOT/CDL physical examinations as required for the Department of Transportation. School sports physicals are provided.
