Services
Neuropsychological and psycho-educational testing usually covers 3 areas of functioning - neuropsychological (i.e., attention and executive functioning, language, memory and learning, visuospatial processing, sensorimotor, and social perception), cognitive (i.e., intellectual and academic achievement testing), and social, emotional, behavioral and personality functioning (e.g., rating scales and projective techniques).
Our service also provides a complete review of records as well as scoring of test instruments, interpretation of test results, write-up of test findings, and write-up of a summary, clinical formulation, and recommendations.
The report length is typically 40-50 pages in length with recommendations addressing eligibility for special education, educational accommodations and modifications that may be required to promote effective progress, educational strategies to incorporate the examinee's learning style and strengths, special education remedial techniques and services to assist the examinee in achieving the full expression of his/her intellect, program and placement recommendations, as well as behavior health recommendations (e.g., referrals for psychopharmacology consultation with suggestions for medication trials, target areas for therapeutic intervention by counselors, and recommendations as needed for ancillary diagnostic and special education services (e.g., referrals for special education advocacy, audiological evaluation, behavioral optometry, etc.).
