I met Dr. Muirhead in 1982 and approx. one year later, he suggested that each of my family members (me, 1 daughter, 1 son) take the written MMPI Personality Inventory Exam to determine the family dynamics and hopefully discover any particular underlying problems. Those tests were administered and results read by Dr. Muirhead. Each test was spot on as to the individual psyches involved; however, as we attempted to discuss the tests it became apparent that neither child was willing to open up or own any underlying discoveries about his/her psyche. Therefore, we have dealt with communication problems year after year throughout their adult lives, finally choosing “to each his own” as the common ground. We are not now and have never been considered a close family unit and I believe it is because we did not get to the root of our problem back in 1980’s.
Now, 36 years later, my children and I have mostly figured out how we fit into our family unit; however we are again dealing with exactly the same psychological problems with my son’s only child (JAMES, my youngest grandson) who will turn 16 in July. Odd how family structure repeats itself generation to generation, as I have so often discovered in my genealogy research. Dr. Muirhead immediately came to mind as the person of choice to administer this MMPI Personality Inventory Exam to JAMES along with comprehensive discussions with James concerning the disconnect between him and his father and the overwhelming control of his thoughts & actions by his mother. This has become inexcusably uncomfortable when JAMES is at his father’s house for weekend visitations. The hatred he holds in his heart against his father is unfounded, as much so as is1) his fear of disapproving of his mother, 2) doing something that would cause the loss of his mother’s love but most of all3) his complete, unbending loyalty, even to the point of lying to his dad if he thinks it will cover up for his mother’s abnormal actions and/or reputation.

Poor Larry is a victim of SMU; another one of those 'rich' kids deficeit in intellect but rich in Daddy's money.

Larry is a tad too sexually inappropriate with his 'patients' to adequately measure what he should be measuring; his slave receptionist covers this.

A sad sack.
