Lisa Buckley is a highly unethical therapist who will break patient confidentiality for money. I first went to see her 1-2 times back in 2017. I had to find some Old notes to even remember who she was at first when I heard she had comments to make about me. Anyways I went to see her with my ex wife at the time to help with our marriage and had nothing to do with her abuse but supposedly depression according to my ex and not hers she's been dealing with her whole life. My wife at the time hated Lisa Buckley after the first visit because she asked me some questions and asked what I wanted to do during the session. I barely remember Lisa Buckley but I remember my ex was extremely upset at her for being too nice to me and after 1-2 visits she didn't want to come back with me. My ex who has severe mental issues and been seeing mental health professionals her whole life believed since she went to therapy everyone should. However Not everyone has 2 domestic assaults and dui and severe depression including severe PPD where she was a danger to our daughter. We initially went to see her for marital issues related to me not being happy in our marriage due to a lot of things. Not once did we ever go for any reasons of abuse or anything related to me in any abusive manner. Fast ward 1.5 years later and we are going through divorce and obviously the failed therapist has lots to say 3 years later during a 730 evaluation when my ex tried to set me up to get a moveaway because she wanted to move to her boyfriends town, even though she pays for his car, rent, trips and spending money, which she didn't get. Lisa Buckley broke HIPPA laws and since she was still being paid by my ex made up a bunch of lies about me. She wasn't approved to speak with our evaluator but thought it would be a good idea to write a letter to circumvent the rules. I find it amazing I go to a failed marriage therapist to appease my ex and years later she makes up a bunch of lies to the court. So here comes Lisa Buckley out of no where to try and make me look bad. Amazing what some people will do for money. Stay far away from this unethical person. She broke almost every rule in the book. It’s to bad you can't go see a marriage therapist thinking it will be confidential and due to money she will go out of her way to break her oath. This matter is not over. Through this nasty custody war you get to see how things work. Who's honest and who's not. Lisa Buckley is a failed marriage counselor who will sell you out and make up lies to the highest bidder.
This unethical therapist is why nobody should go to any marriage counseling unless you truly trust the therapist and you get something in writing before you start. She is a failed marriage counselor in my case. Also not only is she a bad marriage counselor she is a very unethical and once she fails you together she will take sides and it will be the one who continues to pay her. In our case even though it was my ex who didn’t want to go back to her and said all sorts of nasty things about Lisa Buckley she got Lisa to try and break confidentiality which she did. She was even forbidden to speak with our 730 evaluator because my ex attempted to get a move away to move to her boyfriends town up north in Orange County. Lisa buckley decided to try and circumvent the 730 evaluators decision regarding speaking with him so she wrote a letter instead, which was also not allowed yet she did it anyways. My ex did all sorts of nasty things, including setting me up and accusing me of everything possible to get her move away which she was denied now over a year and a half later she is no longer even with the same guy that she was moving away with to gain custody. She even told our evaluator she was getting married to this guy and having kids etc.. She recently broke up with this man, who probably had enough of her bs, who’s been around our daughter right after separation. She literally had our young daughter in the same bed with this guy which tells you everything you need to know there and is starting it all over again. So before the old boyfriend has even moved out the house she has a new boyfriend who she’s already brought our daughter around and our poor daughter is very confused. It’s sad to see parents who don’t have any common maternal or Paternal instincts regarding their kids and well being and only think about themselves. Also even more frustrating is the paid professionals who help in the vicious cycle like Lisa Buckley. So if you are thinking she will help you then think again. She is a failed marriage counselor and will sell out to the highest bidder even if it makes her an accomplice to all the malicious and illegal activities one parent may take. Very surprised she still has a license.

I've read the other reviews on here and i think that it's up to you to find a therapist that fits you. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding someone that has the same thought process as you and sometimes it's a matter of finding someone that you don't feel is judging everything you say.

With that said, I have been going to Lisa for 10 years now and not every session is going to leave you feeling great and productive but it's a process and i feel like what we have accomplished has been amazing
