I made my first appointment for today. I arrived on time and sat in the waiting room for nearly a half hour. Another therapist who shared office space pointed me to her door which was closed. At first I didn't want to knock figuring that she was in there with someone, but then after a few minutes I did. There was no one else in her office. When I told her I had a 2:15PM appointment, she said she must not have written it down. No apology, so when she said we would have to reschedule I told her I didn't think I wanted to. She just said, "Oh" and shut the door. I had been looking forward to this appointment for the last few days because I have so many things going on in my life. If anything, therapists need to be dependable. Ironically, one of the issues I wanted to discuss is how people never seem to be dependable when I need them the most.
