Dr. Julie Mosier is a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed specialist in school psychology. She received her Bachelors degree in psychology from Brigham Young University, her Masters degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah, and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Brigham Young University. She completed her training at Baylor College of Medicine as a resident in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and was the first post-doctoral fellow in the Learning Support Center for Neurobehavioral Psychiatry at Texas Childrens Hospital. She subsequently received a dual appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine, and within General Medical Staff, Texas Childrens Hospital. Prior to establishing the Family Psychology Clinic of Kingwood, Dr. Mosier was the Director of the ADHD/Disruptive Behavior Disorders Program at Texas Childrens Hospital. In addition to her work with children and families, Dr. Mosiers clinical training and research interests include womens health issues, the impact of chronic illness on children and families, assessment and treatment of eating disorders, and school advocacy and mental health/special education law. She has received grants in the areas of treatment outcome research and instrument development and published articles on the effectiveness of psychotherapy with children and adolescents and the effectiveness of group treatments in medically ill populations. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Group Psychotherapy Society, and the Association for Advancement of Cognitive and Behavioral Treatments.
