Education
Ms. Oles is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with over six years of experience in South Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Fine Arts from Rutgers University focusing on Art Therapy. She completed her Master of Education Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Florida Atlantic University. She is currently a Registered Intern with the Florida Department of Health.
Training
Her training includes Florida Atlantic University Counseling and Psychological Center, The Center for Group Counseling, Henderson Mental Health Center and The Renfrew Center.
At the FAU Counseling Center, she provided weekly therapy within a time-limited framework treating mental health issues including stress, depression, anxiety, grief, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, Aspergers disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, relationship problems, LGBT issues, substance abuse, and eating disorders. At the Center for Group Counseling, Ms. Oles offered individual, couple, and family counseling, and she led weekly counseling, psychoeducational and support groups for senior populations, women and children. She provided case management for foster youth populations while at Henderson Mental Health Center, and offered individual crisis counseling as well as facilitated groups at the Renfrew Center, a residential setting for women suffering from eating disorders and other women's issues.
Certification
Ms. Oles utilizes an eclectic innovative approach to treatment combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Existential, Psychodynamic, Adlerian, Rogerian, and Family Systems modalities. She strongly values the impact of a therapeutic relationship and creatively collaborates with clients to meet their individual needs and desires; fostering positive changes and successful outcomes.
