Dr. Steven Horwitz is a graduate of Cornell University and the National University of Health Sciences. Since 1986 Dr. Horwitz has treated thousands of patients for back pain, sports injuries, provided coverage at 100’s of athletic events, and trained youth, college, professional, and Olympic athletes. He is a youth sports coach safety educator and was the co-chairperson of the Care and Prevention of Sports Injuries coach course in Montgomery County, Maryland from 2005 – 2013.

Washingtonian magazine chose him as a top sports medicine doctor. In 1996, he was appointed by the Governor to the Maryland Council on Physical Fitness and was named Chairman from 2002 – 2004. From 2004 - 2010 he was the Maryland state director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association. An avid athlete, Dr. Horwitz has studied martial arts, has run two marathons, was the 1986 A.A.U. Collegiate Mr. America Bodybuilding Class Winner, and was 198lb. class winner at the 2000 100% RAW World Powerlifting Championships. He is a two-time champion of the Tactical Strength Challenge Men’s Master’s Division.
