I am a licensed clinical psychologist in practice for five years with extensive training in treating children and adolescents. As a therapist, I will work with your child or adolescent to achieve better understanding of the difficulties he or she is experiencing, and to discover more adaptive coping mechanisms. My style is non-judgmental, empathic, and compassionate. I tailor the therapy to the individual needs of the client (play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, or insight-oriented treatment).
I have been primarily employed in forensic settings, conducting treatment and evaluations for children and adolescents with a history of trauma. My treatment specialties include: Anxiety Disorders (Panic Disorder, PTSD, OCD), Depression and Bipolar Disorder, Adolescent & Teen Issues, Acting Out Behaviors (Cutting, Self-harm, Oppositionality), Trauma and Sexual Abuse, relationship issues, and parenting your difficult child/teen. I particularly enjoy working with adolescent girls struggling to find their own identity and adaptively coping with the pressures of daily life related to school, relationships, parents, etc.
Russian speaking patients and parents are welcome.
I also specialize in performing Psychoeducational Testing to better understand each childs or adolescents specific learning strengths and weaknesses.
