About
Timothy R. Morris, ND
Health Challenges Today:
Being a healthy, happy and successful human being these days can be quite a challenge. We each have to find our way to heath by navigating through many hurdles that modern life throws at us. I have found that it is a process of intentional evolution. It is for this reason that I call my practice the Human Evolution Project.
I became a naturopathic doctor to help guide people into greater alignment with themselves, their communities and the planet we live upon. My goal every day is to find ways to contribute to the health, happiness and harmony of all beings. I seek to partner with motivated patients who are ready to examine their lives and to take charge of their own health.
Philosophy:
I believe in the bodys ability to heal itself. I see my job as partnering with patients in the development of diet and lifestyle habits that maximally promote health while also avoiding and reversing illness. When symptom relief is indicated, I will always work to identify and treat the root causenot just mask symptoms. At times, the use of nutritional supplements, herbs, hormones or even pharmaceutical drugs may be appropriate. Whatever the case, I will always work with patients to find the most gentle and effective therapies available.
Specialization:
Primary Care, Physical Medicine (including spinal manipulations), Chronic Conditions, Specialty Diets, Fasting & Cleansing, Nutritional Mood Management, Counseling, Conventional Laboratory Diagnosis, Genetic Testing, Alternatives to Pharmaceutical Drugs.
Professional Expertise:
In addition to my private practice, I currently teach anatomy & physiology, microbiology, genetics, nutrition, and pharmacology at medical programs around the Puget Sound. I am also currently involved in researching and documenting evidence-based natural health practices for outside corporations and non-profit foundations. I was previously the medical director of an large integrated clinic which focused on both physical medicine complaints and primary care. I have also helped to launch two new medical laboratories covering convention lab diagnosis, alternative testing, and cutting edge genetic tests.
